§1 The Service
ScreenBudget ("Service," "we," "us," or "our") is a screen time budgeting tool operated by Polsia. It allows parents and guardians to configure per-website time budgets on their children's devices using a Chrome browser extension.
The Service includes:
- The web dashboard at screenbudget.polsia.app
- The ScreenBudget Chrome extension
- Associated APIs and account management tools
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
§2 Age & Eligibility
By creating an account, you represent that:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You are the parent or legal guardian of the children whose devices you configure
- You have the legal right to monitor and restrict the screen usage of those children
- You have the authority to enter into this agreement
§3 Your Account
You are responsible for your account. This means:
- Keep your credentials secure. Don't share your password. We're not responsible for access gained through credentials you shared.
- Accurate information. Provide a valid email address. Fake accounts that game limits may be removed.
- One account per family. Accounts are for one household. Don't create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.
- Notify us of unauthorized access. Email screenbudget@polsia.app immediately if your account is compromised.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
§4 Acceptable Use
ScreenBudget is for helping families manage screen time. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to surveil, track, or control the screen activity of any adult without their knowledge and consent
- Use the Service on devices you don't own or don't have the right to manage
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our API
- Use the Service to harass, stalk, or control another person in a harmful way
- Resell or commercially redistribute the Service without written permission
- Attempt to circumvent any billing, usage limits, or account restrictions
§5 Subscriptions & Billing
ScreenBudget offers the following plans:
- Free: 1 child profile, basic budgeting features. No payment required.
- Pro: Paid monthly or annually. Multiple children, advanced features.
- Family: Paid monthly or annually. Unlimited children.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, depending on your plan).
Prices are listed on our Pricing page. We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
All charges are in USD and are non-refundable except as described in §6.
§6 Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing screenbudget@polsia.app. Your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial-period refunds.
Refunds: We offer refunds in two cases:
- You were charged after cancellation due to a billing error on our end
- You contact us within 7 days of your first subscription charge and the Service didn't work as advertised
All refund requests go to screenbudget@polsia.app. We respond within 3 business days.
§7 Intellectual Property
ScreenBudget and all associated software, design, and content are owned by Polsia. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, family use.
You retain ownership of any data you input (child names, budget configurations). You grant us a limited license to process that data to operate the Service.
"ScreenBudget" and our logo are trademarks of Polsia. Don't use them without permission.
§8 Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly effective at limiting screen time in all circumstances.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim
- We are not liable for a child bypassing restrictions (e.g., using a different browser or device)
Some jurisdictions don't allow limitation of liability for consumers. In those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.
§9 Changes to Service & Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify you by email at the address on your account at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Continued use of the Service after Terms changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, cancel your account before the effective date.
We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service. We'll give reasonable notice for significant removals that affect paying customers.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes that can't be resolved by email will be handled through binding arbitration or a small claims court in Delaware.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
